I took the day off yesterday to recover from a crazy busy Memorial Day weekend that included a trip to the lake then a wedding in Highlands, North Carolina.  Whew!  I was tired!  I don’t typically shoot weddings but one of my all time favorite photographers that I have followed from the beginning of my career asked me to join her at one of the Most Amazing Weddings I have ever seen and who can say no to that! 🙂  I will be sure to share some of the images when I can!

Before I get into what this post is really about, I wanted to say…if there is something you would love to do in this photography world, put it out there and you never know when the opportunity will arise.  When I first started as a photographer, I followed a photographer out of Florida/Atlanta.  She did such amazing work, photographed the most amazing weddings and is published in so many awesome publications.  I got brave enough to contact her and she was so sweet with answering my questions, etc.  I loved her work so much that I hired her to take photos of me for my website and a friendship was born.  I told her, just in passing, that if she ever needed a second shooter that I would love to do it.  I have to be honest, I never, in my wildest dreams, thought she would take me up on my offer.  Fast forward a couple of years, and she did!!  It was so much fun and I learned so much!  So whatever your dreams are, put them out there and you just never know…they may come true!

Now, back to our regularly scheduled blog post!
