Prom dresses usually only get worn once.  Girls spend all this time looking for the perfect dress and then only wear it one night.  It makes them feel glamorous and beautiful so why not wear it in their senior session!

“Alyssa bought her prom dress for her junior prom but never got to wear it,” said Jessica.  “So she plans on wearing it to her senior prom and she loved it so much she wanted to wear it during her senior session too!”

What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
This session is sweet, fun and different. Alyssa bought her prom dress for her junior prom and never got a chance to wear it. So she plans to wear it to her senior prom and she loved it so much she wanted pictures with her sweet horse Pecos.

Where did this photo shoot take place?
This shoot took plan in Ozark, MO called the Common Area at the Bluffs.

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
Yes and no. All I knew was that she was bringing her prom dress. Alyssa then pulled out this awesome, colorful dress and I fell in love with it!

What time of day were these taken?
Between 5:00 and 7:00 pm

What is your favorite thing about this session?
I love the way the images turned out and how they convey Alyssa’s love for riding and her sweet spirit. She is a cowgirl at heart but when she wipes off the horse hair she looks like a fairy tale.

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
I want this session to convey to seniors that I will adapt to whatever shoot they want. I want to get the exact photos my seniors are dreaming about. I will do whatever I can to make their photos the best experience possible!

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
One thing I can say is get to know your seniors. Talk with them throughout the session and learn about them. It’s amazing how someone comes alive when you start asking them questions about their life 🙂
