It may still be summer, but Fall Senior Season is coming soon.  Are you ready?

Jessica of Jessica Works Photography in Rainsville, Alabama wanted to show how pretty sessions could be even if it was a little gray outside.  Inspired by the phrase “sweater weather” she took one of her reps out to take some gorgeous photos.  Check them out below as well as read what Jessica had to share about this session.  Thanks for sharing your work with Seniorologie Jessica!

What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
My inspiration was the phrase “sweater weather”. I love winter fashion and I never get the change to capture it.

Where did this photo shoot take place?
This session was shot in and around downtown Fort Payne.

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
Yes. I gave her an idea of what I was looking for and all the wardrobe photos she sent me were perfect!

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
I used a Nikon D600 and a Sigma 85mm 1.4

What time of day were these taken?
Session was between 3:30 and 5:30PM

Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?
I try to keep my look very natural. My basic edit is to correct any white balance and exposure, sharpen, boost contrast and saturation in Lightroom, then retouch with photoshop and Portraiture.

What is your favorite thing about this session?
My favorite thing about this session was the boldness of the colors against the grayness of the locations. And I always love working with a great model.

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
I would love to know that Madison’s genuine happiness just glows in these photos. She is so sweet and I just smile when I see her smile. My goal is to capture that inner beauty in my seniors.

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
Always keep them talking and laughing. If you are continually in conversation, they tend to get less nervous
