What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
What could be more fun than riding a boat into the sunset with your best friends?

Nautical elements set the stage for a coastal themed shoot. This shoot is inspired by friendship, coastal breezes, and the gorgeous hues of water.

Where did this photo shoot take place?
Pone Inlet, Florida

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
I sent my Spokesmodels a vision board and they brought their wardrobe to fit with the concept. I also brought wardrobe as well so we could have fun playing dress up.

We had popcorn, fun candy, and vintage coke bottles for a coastal picnic.

Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?
The VSCO preset is my favorite post-processing polish for my images.

What is your favorite thing about this session?
I love that these three Spokesmodels came together as strangers, connected, and had fun like they are long-time friends. Capturing their energy and excitement was definitely the highlight for me.

Okay, so, being on a boat was pretty fun too. 🙂

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
I view my job as setting the stage and finding connection.

Searching for the best lighting, angles, and atmosphere allows for an optimal artistic outcome.

Then, connecting with the client’s interests and passions. This unlocks all of their beauty. My job is really caring about that person, and desiring the best outcome for them.
