Bestie session can be so much fun!  You get to capture a relationship between young women who have been friends all through high school and give them something that they will treasure forever.

In this bestie session below, photographer Chelsea Royse of Chelsea Kaye Photography in Texas said, “This is a bestie session for a group of senior girls!  They had been best friends for all of high school and were going off their separate ways.”

Check out this fun session below and read what else Chelsea had to say about it.  Thanks for sharing your work with Seniorologie Chelsea!!

What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
the girls and their friendship.

Where did this photo shoot take place?
The gorgeous botanical gardens in Grapevine, Texas.

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
The girls knew what they wanted to wear! They all wore their college shirts, denim shorts and cowboy boots. Very southern college girl!

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
Canon Mark II and a Sigma 35 1.4.

What time of day were these taken?
Around 10:30am.

Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?
I used VSCO for this session.

What is your favorite thing about this session?
I loved getting the opportunity to capture this moment in time for the girls. I think female friendship is so important, and this shoot was about celebrating those bonds! I had a close group of friends in high school, and would’ve loved having a shoot like this with them. Once you go off to college, it’s always harder to stay in touch with your high school friends.

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
I like my seniors to feel relaxed and confident.

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
Give them LOTS of honest compliments. Girls can be so insecure, especially in a group like this, so I was showering them with compliments the whole session. It helps them to relax and feel more confident in front of the camera!
