Brooke Beasley of Brooke Beasley Photography loves finding amazing light and little location gems and with this session I think she has found both!  No props were used for this shoot but there wasn’t any need for them!  Just this beautiful senior, the amazing light and the location was enough to make this session perfect!!
Read what Brooke had to say about the session below and check out her other work here.  Thanks Brooke!
What was your inspiration for the photo shoot?
We wanted to keep it light and fun and mix several elements, such as hard and soft. Ally is so beautiful it’s hard NOT to be inspired.

Where did this photo shoot take place?
Tracy, CA

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
I had her bring about 5 outfit choices and we narrowed it down to our favorites. Before the session I always as them what “type” of session they want. Nature-y, urban, rustic, etc.

What camera, lens and equipment were used for this shoot?
I used my 5D Markii and my 50 1.2L lens.

What time of day were these taken?
2 hours before sunset is always my favorite time, but that last 40 min. or so before the sun goes down is my favorite light!

Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?
I love my images to be pretty true to real life. You on your very best day. I used Michelle Kanes fabulous actions…Blant to Brilliant is a staple. I also use Portraiture to smooth the skin just a touch.

What is your favorite thing about this session?
How much fun we had and how comfortable she was in front of the camera.

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
That sessions with me are fun and different and that I want everyone to feel beautiful. Every girl deserves great photos of herself.

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
Hmmmmm……that’s hard. I would say stay current on trends that are popular. It gives you some advantage when choosing clothing and poses as well as connecting with your client.
