Getting your senior reps together for fun activities is a great way to bond with them and allow them to bond with each other!  Being able to give them even more than a big rep shoot such as a relationship with both you and the other reps is an experience they will never forget.

In the session below by Allison Steinquest of Smile, darling! Photography in Springfield, Tennessee says that this shoot was a result of her rep meeting day.

“This was our informational meeting day and I wanted to let the girls do something to get to know each other!  Paint War!!”, said Allison.  “The girls had a blast!”

Check out this super fun meeting that turned into a colorful photo session that these girls will never forget!

What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
I had seen several other senior rep programs that had informational meetings with games and snacks…but I wanted to just break out and start with a bang! I know that the Color Run and other events like that are so huge and…well…fun! So I decided to let them loose and see what happened! It was magic!

Where did this photo shoot take place?
Springfield, Tennessee. Actually, in my back yard! 🙂

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
We decided white shirt and jeans. It was also the first warm day after a snowy week so the girls were PUMPED to wear shorts and short sleeved shirts.

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
Cannon Mark II
50mm lens

What time of day were these taken?
4:00 Central

Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?
It was CRAZY SUNNY So I just worked on the brightness…nothing super special. I wanted them to be really natural and vibrant.

What is your favorite thing about this session?
How much fun the Girls had!! And the comment “We came here and didn’t know each other at all and now we are planning a night out in Nashville with each other!” Day made. It totally broke the ice and they loved it.

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
I love to have fun. I love movement and laughter and that is what I got.

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
Laugh with them! Talk about the things they are interested in! They tend to be a little awkward at first but I love just chatting it up and by the end we are Facebook friends!! 🙂
