What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
My inspiration for this shoot came from my amazing model, Victoria! I’ve watched her grow into this stunning young lady throughout the years and I LOVE getting her in front of my camera, she’s a total natural! She’s got such a free spirit and an amazing vintage style.

Where did this photo shoot take place?
In Lafayette, Louisiana. We found an open field and went for it!

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
We met up one afternoon and headed to a local boutique that also carries vintage items. We both picked out our favorite outfits, she tried them on, and wah-la!

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
This session was shot with a Nikon D700 with a 85mm lens.

What time of day were these taken?
We started around 5 pm.

Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?
All my post-processing was done in ACR and Photoshop.

What is your favorite thing about this session?
My favorite thing… I don’t know! The honesty and pure natural beauty in these photos is what keeps me smiling!

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
My senior photography style is very natural and earthy. Letting them have fun and be themselves and capturing it all on camera!

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
Don’t be afraid to be their friend! Make them laugh, have fun, and don’t be too serious! Also – make sure to communicate how great they are doing during the session, let them know how absolutely amazing they look!
