Walking shoots are some of my favorite ways to photograph seniors.  You pick an area and just walk around to find the most unique and fun places with the best light and capture your senior along the way!

What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
Elle has a sweet, outgoing, up for anything personality mixed with a fun and playful style. When going over her wardrobe choices I knew I wanted to play up the different sides to her personality.

Where did this photo shoot take place?
We roamed the streets of Downtown Phoenix looking for texture and light that would complement her clothing choices.

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
I usually work with my senior when planning our style for the shoot. The clothing was all hers but I added in the jewelry and sunglasses.

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
Canon 6D body with Canon 70-200 2.8 and Canon 85 1.4 lenses

What time of day were these taken?
These were all taken in the late afternoon, just before sunset.

What is your favorite thing about this session?
The playfullness and laughter!

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
Every Senior session is a celebration of who they are in this season of their life. I loved capturing the different facets of Elle’s personality. This is very reflective of my style! I love capturing vibrant, fun images that tell their story!

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
Enter in with your seniors and embrace the different sides of their personality. Step outside the box with them.
