When a senior has a unique hobby such as horseback riding, it is so inspiring to incorporate that hobby into their photo session.  Horses are such beautiful creatures and the bond between a rider and their horse is amazing.

Maggie and Lucy as one

January 18th 2014

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
Yes, I style Lucy for the shots of her and Maggie with the white dress, jean jacket and pearls. I had the vision of this image in my head since I got the call from Lucy’s mom to do this photoshoot.

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
Mark III and the lens that I used was the 85  f1.2

What time of day were these taken?
4:30pm

What is your favorite thing about this session?
The feel of the images of Maggie and Lucy. Specially the ones that style – I was dreaming of shooting someone just like that!

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
How out of the box I am with my clients. How much I care about their vision as well as mine to get the results that both of us want. and I want to show that I am modern but simple at the same time. Sky is the limit when you work very close with your clients.

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
Be friendly!!!
