When it comes to concepts for rep shoots, brainstorming ideas around things that are important to you will help you create a shoot that both represents you and your brand.

In this beautiful shoot below, photographer Andrea Brittingham of Brittingham Photography says that Earth Day is really important to her.

“This is the second year that I’ve done an Earth Day shoot and this year had a bit more planning and more done in advance (yay learning!)!” said Andrea.  “Earth Day is really important to me – especially as photographers, as we often use state funded trails and parks for our shoots.  I wanted to do a loosely boho theme to flow along with Mother Nature’s natural beauty and highlighting the importance of treating our Earth kindly.”

Check out this beautiful session below and read what else Andrea had to say!  Thanks for sharing your work with Seniorologie Andrea!

This is the second year that I’ve done an Earth Day shoot and this year had a bit more planning and more done in advance (yay learning!) Earth Day is really important to me- especially as photographers, as we often use state funded trails and parks for our shoots. I wanted to do a loosely boho theme to flow along with Mother Nature’s natural beauty and highlighting the importance of treating our Earth kindly.

Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?
Edited in Lightroom with a light filmy preset I’ve developed on my own

What is your favorite thing about this session?
That we get to shoot a beautiful Earth Day session with a few of my rep girls, but that it’s something that we can bring awareness to and hopefully make a difference. I’m also using this as the launching pad of a promotion where 10% of my session fee will be donated to the Washington State Trails Association.

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
We’re Washingtonians and proud of it- in the PNW, boho style is more of a natural occurrence than just a “style”. Grunge, boho and saving the planet are in our blood. So is art! I hope to show that my style is natural and obviously a child of the PNW. My style is laughter & hair in the wind.

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
Relate with them, be silly and show them the good shots! Get them excited and build confidence!
