How far do you market for senior clients?  In the session below, the senior drove an hour in order to work with Brianne Hall of Brianne Hall Imagery in Pocatello, Idaho.

“She drove an hour from her rural Idaho town so we could work together, and I’m so glad she did,” said Brianne.

Check out this session below and read what else Brianne had to say about it. Thanks for sharing your work with Seniorologie!

The beautiful fall colors at this prime outdoor location inspired the feel of this session.

Where did this photo shoot take place?
Beautiful hills of Pocatello, Idaho.

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
She sent me a photo of her potential outfits, I made some color recommendations and she took it from there. She also did her makeup by herself and I was impressed!

Canon 5D, 24-105 f/4, 85 1.8, and a reflector.

What time of day were these taken?
Golden hour (on a rainy day)

Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?
Culled in Lightroom, then finished in Photoshop CS5 with my favorite Paint the Moon actions at a low opacity.

What is your favorite thing about this session?
Near the end of the session an unexpected rainstorm rocked us! Some of my favorite shots were taken during the drizzle. Eventually we waited it out it the car and Shae took the opportunity to ask me questions about being a photographer. It was so fun to have that conversation with her!

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
Aside from recognizing how obviously beautiful Shae is I hope people can see from the photos her sweetness, and humility, along with her inner strength. She was easy to laugh with and I hope a few of these show that off too.

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
If mom accompanies the session and you need a hand for simple things like reflector holding don’t be afraid to use them!
