What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
Spring Boho meets Prom Dress. I was inspired by the wonderful warm spring light we have been getting unusually early in Oregon in combination with a soft palette of dress colors modeled by some of our Senior Spokesmodels for this year.

Where did this photo shoot take place?
A country field/nursery

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
I collaborated with our seniors, hair and makeup stylists and a local clothing boutique to coordinate this session.

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
Canon 5D Mark iii, 85mm 1.2, reflectors

What time of day were these taken?
Morning

Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?
Lightroom 4 for basic lighting and color adjustments, and some Photoshop for light retouching, and I lightly used some Alex Beadon Actions.

What is your favorite thing about this session?
The soft colors palate, the warmth of the light and how well the girls pulled off an elegant boho look with the prom dresses.

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
These girls are beautiful inside and out- and that senior concept shoots can be SO much fun!

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
Have a great time and get to know each one of them- they are truly amazing! And, take time to prepare for your sessions- planning locations, outfits, hair and makeup and other details….it makes a big difference in the outcome of your sessions.
